Geoff Eales is one of the UK’s most exciting and eclectic musicians, described as, “a powerhouse who demands your attention with the force of his musical personality”. There are few musicians in the World who have mastered so many jazz styles. Throughout a long and distinguished career he has worked with many of the top names in the music industry.

Above all Geoff’s real love is jazz and the concept of the modern jazz piano trio. To local jazz fans the group may need no further introduction. For new enthusiasts, you have the rare opportunity of seeing three of Britain’s leading jazz exponents in a single trio. Along with Geoff’s piano playing, Mark Fletcher is arguably one the country’s leading jazz drummers and Roy Babbington, for many years, has been the bassist of choice for most of the touring greats of the jazz World.

Many tunes that have become well known standards first saw the light of day at the movies. This concert treats you to a feast of classic film themes, all of them delivered with the trio's characteristic verve and passion. Victor Young's Stella By Starlight, Henry Mancini's Days Of Wine and Rose and Burt Bacharach's Alfie are just a small sample of what will be in store for you on this special evening of melodic jazz.
